Renewal Of Curfew On The Gushegu Township And It’s Immediate Environs PDF Print E-mail

The Minister of the Interior has on the advice of the Northern Regional Security Council, and by Executive Instrument, renewed the curfew imposed on the Gushegu Township and it’s immediate environs with effect from Monday, 11th July, 2011.

The curfew hours for the Gushegu Township are 12:00 midnight to 4:00 a.m.

Government is very much encouraged by the return of relative peace to the Gushegu Township and it’s immediate environs and wishes to appeal to all stakeholders to continue to ensure that lasting and sustainable peace returns to its communities.

Meanwhile, Government will like to reiterate that there is a ban on all persons in the Gushegu Township and it’s immediate environs from carrying arms, ammunition or any offensive weapons, and that any person found with any arms or ammunition will be arrested and prosecuted.
