Obuobia Foundation donates to Muslims towards Ramadan

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Obuobia Foundation, Ms Obuobia Darko-Opoku, last Saturday inspected progress of work on a Youth mosque the foundation is building for the youth of Mallam in Accra.

The CEO also donated several bags of rice, cooking oil, mats, water, ablution kettles and soft drinks to nine (9) central mosques at Mallam, Gbawe, New Gbawe, SCC, Tetegu, Oblogo, Ayigbe Town and Ashbread, all within the Weija-Gbawe Constituency in the Greater Accra region towards the Ramadan.

Presenting the items to the Imams and leaders of the mosques, Ms Darko-Opoku said ‘this annual gesture to our Muslim brothers and sisters is also to help the less-privileged during the Ramadan.’

She believed that the period of fasting and prayers (Ramadan) would go a long way in helping bring peace, unity and progress to the Constituency and Ghana as a whole.

Receiving the items, the Imams and Muslim Leaders thanked Ms Darko-Opoku for the gesture and commended her for her support every year during Ramadan, and assured her of their support in the development of the Constituency.

They prayed for her and asked Allah to continue blessing her.
