MMDCES ASKED TO ADHERE TO LAWS AND REGULATIONS

The Volta Regional Minister, Dr Archibald Letsa, has advised Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) to strictly adhere to all relevant acts and regulations governing their office.

 

“As much as you will wish to take prompt decisions that will facilitate your work and the development of your respective Assemblies, be mindful of its conformity with the established laws and regulations of the country because if they are violated it will attract the appropriate sanctions,’’ Dr. Letsa said, at the official swearing-in of 16 confirmed MMDCEs in Ho.

 

He reminded the MMDCEs that President Akufo-Addo required competent people to prosecute government’s agenda of developing and transforming the nation.

 

The Hon. Regional Minister also urged them work hard to justify the confidence reposed in them by the President and their Assemblies by offering quality leadership to harness all potentials and resources to supplement the contribution of all stakeholders for the development of the districts and the country at large.

 

He advised the MMDCEs to make informed decisions and at all times and involve traditional rulers in key decision making of the Assembly.

 

On behalf of the MMDCEs, Hon. Edmund Kudjoh Attah, DCE for North Dayi, pledged to collaborate with all stakeholders and work hard to raise high the flag of Ghana.

 

Some of the newly-sworn-in MMDCEs are for Ho, North Dayi, Keta, Central Tongu, Kpando, Ho-West, Jasikan, Afadzato-South, Krachi East and Krachi West.

 

The rest are for Ketu- North, Ketu South, Nkwanta-North, Nkwanta-South, Krachi Nchumuru and Kadjebi districts.
