DCE ADVISES YOUTH OF JAMAN NORTH TO STAY AWAY FROM UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOURS

The 61 Independence Day Anniversary Parade has taken place at Sampa in the Jaman North District of the Brong Ahafo Region.

 

Thirty-eight schools made of seven Senior High Schools and thirty-one primary and Junior High Schools (JHS) with three cadet corp team from Goka Sec/Tec, Nafana Presby Senior High and Our Lady of Fatima Vocational Technical Training with about One thousand,  eighty hundred (1,800) students took part in the March Past. 

 

The price for the best school at the primary level went to St. Anns Preparatory School which received a set of jersey, a football, a volley ball and a certificate.

 

At Junior High level, Nipaba Brew Preparatory and, St. Anns Preparatory School took the 3rd and 2nd placement with Nasec Model JHS taking the 1st place. The awards given to them were the same as that of the primary category.

 

At the SHS level, Sumaman SHS took the 3rd position with and St. Anns Girls SHS taking the 2nd position. Nafana Presby SHS took the ultimate prize with the same award as that of the Primary and JHS.

 

At the end of the March Past, Sampa Presby Primary and Nasec Model Primary school took the 3rd and 2nd positions, respectively, going home with a set of Jessie's, a football and a certificate.

 

Addressing the parade, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Jaman North, Mr Adane Ankomah, congratulated the government for reinstating the Teacher and Nurses trainee allowances.

 

Mr Ankomah mentioned the Free Senior High School (SHS) Policy, One District One Factory Programme, Planting for Food and Jobs, School Feeding Programme and the expansion of LEAP as important interventions by Government.

 

He advised the youth against armed robbery, sexual promiscuity, cyber fraud, occultism and disrespect of authorities which, he said, had become a social canker eating up the fabrics of Ghanaian society.

 

On government projects in the district, the DCE made it known that in areas of education, the district was benefiting from a number of projects which included the construction of Girls Dormitory at Suma SHS, construction of an Ultra-modern Kindergarten School Block at Goka Demonstration, the construction of an ultra-modern Kindergarten School Block at Sampa Islamic school and the construction of a 6-Unit Classroom Block at Morle Presbyterian School.

 

Mr Ankomah said in order to improve the standard of education, all the school construction projects initiated by the previous administration would be completed by the present administration.

 

He advised the general public to stay away from corruption to save mother Ghana and the district as a whole and urged all to support the government to transform Ghana into a better nation.
