VISION “Sustainable development of Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation for all”.MISSION The Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation exists to promote sustainable environmental management and the adoption and application of science and technological innovations through the formulation of policies, monitoring, and evaluation of the implementation of sector plans, Programmes, and projects for national development.Our overall objective is to ensure accelerated socio-economic development of the nation through the formulation of sound policies and a regulatory framework to promote the use of appropriate environmentally and friendly, scientific and technological practices and techniques.SPECIFIC MEDIUM-TERM OBJECTIVES:<ul><li>The intensification of the application of safe and sound environmental practices;</li><li>The development and promotion of a science and technology culture at all levels of society;</li><li>The development of the sector’s institutionalised delivery capacities in human resource management, infrastructure and plant/equipment through appropriate policies and legislation;</li><li>The promotion of public demand for science and technology products and services;</li><li>The encouragement and strengthening of compliance of human settlements standards in communities.</li><li>The strengthening of linkages, with local and international collaborating agencies.</li><li>The promotion, co-ordination and evaluation of research and development activities.</li></ul>
